We went during the soft opening following the tornado damage. There were still a few exhibits that were closed and there were several others where we couldn't see any animals. However, we really enjoyed ourselves. The setting is very nice. You will walk through forests,...More

My wife and I are not a fan of zoos where animals are confined to small spaces for the pleasure of the public but this wildlife sanctuary is different. First, the animals are all injured which means they require small spaces and care to survive....More

Sad to say we didn’t get to enjoy this venue. Wish this info was more readily available. I didn’t see any information that said this was temporarily closed.

Oakland Island Wildlife Center gives you an opportunity to walk through nature without the dangers. Nice pathways and boardwalks take you through a maritime forest with animals indigenous to Savannah's coast. We recommend taking a couple of hours to explore.

This was a great part-day trip. It took about 3 hours to go through. Good deal for what you pay for. Lots of walking but handicap accessible.

This teaching zoo is a great place to spend a couple of hours. The shady trails make it a pleasant stroll. The wolves were not out when we went though.
