Worth the History
Aug 2021
Beautiful old building. The narrative video was very informative and worth seeing. The interior of the home was a little disappointing.

Fascinating house

Worth a quick stop to see the architectural details that went into this house. Not sure what else to say to make my minimum.

Neat house.

This is an interesting house to visit. It is neat to see how large it is now and for the time. It is a self guided tour so you can take as much or as little time as you want

The Power of Money
Jul 2021
This museum shows the power and wealth of those who came first and founded Astoria. The hiome is beautiful, and it sits ihthe middle of a bunch of other unique and historical vitcorian beauties in downtown Astoria.

Nice little stop in town
Jun 2021
Nice little stop in town. Gorgeous old house with period furnishing (not sure if its original to the house or not). Had a quick stroll through their garden after buying tickets to see it in the carriage house. They just don't make them like this anymore....well maybe if you're loaded $$$.

Worth the visit!

Fine smallish house
Jun 2021
This is a well=preserved house from early Astoria, which we saw as part of a tour. If you like old houses, it's fine; not big, but a pleasant half-hour

FUN!

Great visit, self tour for a reasonable price. It won't eat up a huge chunk of your day, but definitely worth a stop.

Great place to learn the history of this grand old house.

This was our first time here. We have driven by it for a decade or more when we visit Astoria. Wow, what a treat. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. Love the history of the property!

Great view into the past

The docents were very knowledgeable and willing to share history and stories. The grounds, house and visitor center were well set up for handling long visits. I really enjoyed the seeing the furnishings, rugs, painting and wonderful wood detailing through the the house.

Must see
May 2021
I was so happy to finally see a museum open for viewing. This is a beautiful home and definitely worth a stop. There is a 15-minute movie in the carriage house/gift shop and then the tour of the home is self-guided. There is a docent in the house to answer questions, and the woman who was there the day we visited was very knowledgeable about the home and family. This is a must see if you are in Astoria.
