Impressive

Really fascinating bridge connecting OR and WA. Hard to drive over it and gawk at the same time! Be warned, it goes up really high but the view is worth it!

Immersive Structure
Aug 2021 • Couples
Amazing structure that we could see from our balcony of the Cannery Pier Hotel. Cars look like mini toy cars on bridge. Quick impressive.

It was fun to drive over this huge bridge. We could see if from our hotel room at the Pier Cannery Hotel. It was beautiful. We had fun driving up to Long Beach and having lunch up there.

Over 4 Miles Long!
Aug 2021 • Family
Astoria Megler bridge is over 4 miles long. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. Connects Oregon and Washington! Beautiful bridge to travel across and to view from a distance.

Neat bridge

This is a neat bridge to see and cross. You can walk along the boardwalk to see it and then take some time to drive over it. It is free to drive across

Glad it is well constructed!

This is an amazing bridge which has a very hight point to let large cargo ships pass in and out of the entrance to the Columbia River. The rest of the bridge is more like a causeway. We traveled this bridge 3-4 times during our stay and the views were great and we felt safe.

Beautiful views!

We were staying in Astoria for 3 nights and each day visited our friends in Ocean Park, WA so you either take the Wahkiakum County Ferry in Westport which is 30 minutes east of Astoria or you drive across the bridge. Personally I love the bridge as it is a 55 mph zone so basically just like a Highway. The bridge was built in 1966 and is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. The views are spectacular and the passing ships are amazing. Highly recommend not only the bridge, but take some time to park near the bridge and watch the ships travel in and out of the Columbia River.

Wow! 4 miles of bridge
Jun 2021 • Friends
A friend and I unexpectedly decided to head to Cape Disappointment and did not know how insanely long and high this bridge is! It’s a marvel and the views are spectacular. Not for those with a fear of bridges.

wow !!!

Ok, so this bridge is high, like really high !!! You don't realize it till you come around the corner from the coast 101 highway. If you have a driver/passenger who is afraid of heights they will not like it much. And its almost 4 miles long, al of it over water. Most of it is much lower, but the high span, well, its high !!!! Unfortunately if you need to get from Washington to Oregon or vice versa, this is the only close or convenient way. No tolls, but where the old toll booth were is still there.
