This is worth the drive, it is FREE and the place is well preserved so you can just imagine what those in the past had to deal with working & living there with the heat & all the bugs, etc !!

This park is off the beaten path, but if you like history it is well worth the visit. The drive here is interesting and Fort George Island is beautiful, as are the grounds of the Kingsley Plantation. I recommend the historical tour which was excellent....More

This is a historical Plantation and the park service has made it easy to self tour and learn at your own pace. We didnt buy the audio tour, but others did and it sounded very interesting but more time consuming.

The Kingsley Plantation is an interesting visit. Some really old history. I have to say that the information about the slaves and slavery are sobering. As my wife said, the place has some really bad karma when you consider the absolute pain and human suffering...More

This is a very interesting place. Who ever designed the house was crazy because you originally had to go outside to get to any other room... The rangers guided tour was the best you learn so much.
