How often do you get to walk a donkey
I had a truly lovely experience at Clover Brook, so much so that I went on one tour and then booked another for a few hours later. Both were very much worth it. Sophia, my guide on both occasions, knew so much about the animals and farm life. She answered all my questions and had some fun anecdotes. It was a really unique and charming experience. I hope to return again!
Thank You Holly for your kind review and will surely share with your guide, Sophia. So happy you were able to experience both our farm tour and donkey walk on the same day. We hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit us again.

Clover Brooke Farm - a great way to spend a morning or afternoon…
Ruth and I visited Clover Brooke Farm one afternoon in August 2024 and had a wonderful time. Andrea and Mike gave us a warm welcome alongside the two other families who were visiting, and Andrea started the tour with a walk around the Clover Brooke farmyard, explaining all about the history of the farm, introducing us to all the animals, and confirming everything we needed to know about llamas and alpacas. This was followed by a hike around the surrounding beautiful countryside. Ruth lead Remy the Alpaca, and I was lead by Percy the Llama. At the beginning of the hike Percy was giving me the stare to see if I had all it took to be his friend. And by the end of the hike I am glad to say that we were the best of buddies. The hike was great fun and would be ideal for adults of all ages, but especially for both older and younger children. Clover Brooke Farm - well worth a visit.
Thank You for your kind and your detailed review. Such a pleasure to welcome you and Ruth to the farm and hope you’ll have an opportunity in the future to visit us again.

    The cutest animals
Had a really fun day at the farm! Loved getting to meet the animals, especially the loveable llamas. Was in Hyde Park for all of the historic/national park tours and it was nice to also spend some time at Clover Brooke nearby while in the area.
Thank You Kristine for your kind review. What’s better than llamas and a national parks tour in The Hudson Valley. So much history and amazing American treasures to enjoy, such a short distance from Clover Brooke Farm. We hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit the area again.

    Great hike
Thought it’s a bit of a pain to get here without a car it was well worth it. The hike is the perfect length and includes a couple of uphill and downhill paths so you feel like you’ve actually gotten some good exercise after. The animals are adorable. I was disappointed to get one that was a bit aloof and didn’t want to be touched but you don’t get to choose. However, my friend’s llama gave me a kiss at one point on the hike which was a highlight. My two suggestions would be to have some snacks available for purchase. And to have some sort of heat on in the main waiting area with the bathrooms. The place is great - comfy furniture, nice view and 2 bathrooms but omg it’s cold. No space heater even? You shouldn’t have to keep your coat on indoors. .
Thank You for your kind review and hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit us again.

    Kicking off the holiday season!
We had the most wonderful “donkey walk” At Clover Brooke yesterday to start off the holiday season. I think it is our new tradition- already planning to repeat next year! The gentle and well-kept animals, the rolling pasture and fresh air - cheering and relaxing for the whole family. We enjoyed the balance of soaking up the peaceful setting and some really interesting stories from the farmer about the animals’ characteristics and their sustainable farming practices. The lovely farm shop has specialty items for a little holiday shopping. Families might be especially glad to know that there are excellent indoor bathroom facilities on site. Much appreciated after a substantial drive.
Thank You for your kind review and hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit us again. Happy Holidays.

    Great afternoon
This was a great experience. We Highly recommend that you schedule a hike with the alpacas and llamas. We had 20 people and they accommodated us and worked with our big group to make it enjoyable for everyone. Every single person in the group said it was the best afternoon. They also have a cute little store that you can check out at the end of the hike. Clean nice bathrooms. Just a great few hours. Thank you so much for ending my daughter’s wedding weekend in the Catskills on such a high note. We hope we can see you again. Do this! You won’t regret it
Thank You for your kind review and thrilled to welcome your family to the farm. Hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit us again. Happy

So much fun for the family!
We took my brother and sister in law as a birthday weekend. The owner was very informative. We had a great time walking the adorable alpacas and visiting the farm. The gift shop has so many cute things and the alpaca soap is amazing! I wish I had bought more of that! There’s plenty to do for the weekend as Rosevelt’s estate is right in the area, as well as the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park.

i enjoyed being in the farm.. it was a lovely small farm.. wish there was a cafe or things we can eat at least supermarket snacks and general visit to the store in specific opening times and the farm not only paid experiences. I did the soap workshop but it was very long instructions session full of informations like 90 minutes of talk.i attached soap picture of me and my friend. wish there was more options of essential oil and colors in the workshop.

I attended the beginners soap making class. I was provided with instructions and supplies needed for this class and the knowledge and confidence to make soap by myself at home. Andrea was patient and kind and answered all of my questions. I really enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys an interesting workshop and loves animals. I plan on participating in many more classes at the farm and have asked all my friends to join me.

Thank You for your kind review. It has been such a pleasure sharing my Soap knowledge with our visitors, while teaching them basic skills to make cold processed soap on their own. We are happy to be a learning destination for you and look forward to welcoming you back to the farm soon.

My daughter LOVED her camp experience here. Andrea and crew assign farm chores and hands-on animal care to the kids everyday. Llama and alpaca feeding, watering, hikes, bunny grooming, chicken care, even fishing! She also has the kids create their own farm from cardboard and other materials and give a presentation to the parents explaining how it will work, from what animals they will farm, what will they sell and how will they sell it. If your child loves animals and loves to be busy, this is a home run. Andrea is kind and calm and the kids love her. We have been to numerous camps in the area that advertise similar farm-hand experiences but Clover Brook Farm actually delivers an authentic day on the farm, I highly recommend it!

Thank You for your kind review. It was a pleasure sharing our farm with so many curious children. Their imagination was infectious and their ability to create detailed farm diaramas was the icing on the cake. This younger generation of youth in agriculture is already ‘rocking and rolling’ with ideas and solutions to take agriculture to the next level.

We did the warm and fuzzy experience. We were able to pet 6 bunnies and 1 chicken (which was not friendly and was running around like it lost its head). We also walked Hal the alpaca. The leader was not able to answer many questions and didn’t give us a full experience. People were leaving early - we really had nothing to do after 35 min. And the shop was closed. Not worth the $28 per person for us. I’m surprised with all of the 5 star reviews. Seemed like a way to make a lot of money to pet a bunny (because that’s all we really could do).

Wonderful experience! We spent an hour outdoors walking the grounds of the farm in the company of two adorable donkeys, Lee and Joy. In the process, thanks to our lovely guide Mayerly, we learned a lot about the farm in general and about its animals. The owners are doing an exception job, and Mayerly's enthusiasm was truly contagious.
Highly recommend to people of all ages!

We did a farm tour only. We were with our five year old who was being a bit fussy because she was cold. But even in her mood she admitted the alpacas were beautiful. The farm itself is lovely and the animals are friendly. The donkeys are especially adorable. All the animals were very tolerant of people petting and scratching them. The only disappointments were that the tour felt a little short (and we stayed pretty much in the same spot the whole time) and we didn’t visit the sheep or get to see the bunnies. The tour guide was patient with my many questions and was knowledgeable. The gift shop has some nice woolen goods made from the wool of the farm animals and some stuffed toys. It was Mid range (fairly reasonable) expensive. If tempted by a hat you may want to try it on. I didn’t want to try it on but now I have very nice, warm, but too small hat. If you’re going in late fall as we did note that it gets cold in the field. Dress in layers!

My husband, daughter and I had the pleasure of hiking with alpacas yesterday. Our host Andrea was wonderful. Although it is a farm with fiber being the business, she is absolutely dedicated to her animals. Walking along the side of my alpaca was truly a unique and awesome experience. I highly recommend this tour during these COVID times since it is outdoors and amenable to social distancing. Plus....it is open year round. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time on our goat walk.
My wife had Mallory and I had Lima and they were both absolutely adorable...I can't recommend this time with the goats enough. The daughter of the owners was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and truly loves the animals.
We will go back in the spring for sure!!!

This was a wonderful experience. The owner is knowledgeable, kind, and enthusiastic. The hike is the perfect length to get to know your llama or alpaca, and the time visiting the other animals on the farm was lovely. I highly recommend this farm!

Retired educator teaches farm history and fun facts about mini donkeys, alpacas, goats, and llamas. After pasture talk and petting time, you are paired with an animal for an hour guided group hike. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for uneven ground. Wraps up with water stop in farm store. Would definitely recommend!
