This is an amazing place. In a recently built building, this was designed to be hidden within nature so as not to be intrusive to the surrounding historical habitat. The artifacts, clothing and storyboards are very well done. The short videos viewing areas helped the...More

Great museum with lots of artifacts from the battle at Gettysburg. Super displays and mini-films describing various events and people. Just loved it. Reasonably priced and worth the visit!

Gift shop has large selection of books and gifts. The facility was clean and offered additional resources for those seeking more information on touring/history of the battle grounds. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. A must stop before you start exploring all that Gettysburg offers!

We learned so much while at the visitors center as well as the tour of the battlefields. The feelings that stirred within us were ominous.

My family and I visited here last weekend and loved the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. It is a much larger facility than I had expected. The visitor center has a great 20 minute movie that explains the battle, a cyclorama 360 degree painting or...More

We didn't get here till later in the afternoon, so we didn't have a lot of time to spend in the museum. We saw the movie and the cyclorama. Both were quite interesting and informative.

WE would have enjoyed out visit much more except for the huge amount of middle school students who were there when we arrived. It made touring the museum and seeing the panorama painting very difficult. They were loud and disrespectful so visit when no school...More
