The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion", Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address".

Beautiful, though somber location. Scenery is gorgeous and the statues are all very nice. Easy driving tour or longer walking tour.

We purchased the ticket for the bus tour. It was well worth the money. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us so many facts about the park. It was a great place to be on Veteran's Day!

you receive discounts on those ticket prices if you're a senior and a member of the armed forces. Also I believe veterans. the pass you speak of is more for access fees like the fees to enter example petersburg.
