Central Park is one of the glories of New York. It has parks and lakes; you can have a picnic. It's best point is that it is a big area of clear land in New Pork City, one of the most densely populated areas of land on Earth. By the way, it is well patrolled by the New York Police, it is quite safe.

We went to park so my daughter could ice skate only to discover they are closed on Sundays! It was a beautiful January day for skating and pictures! Be mindful if you go to park to skate there a bit of a picturesque walk until you get to rink. Park was relatively empty and everyone wore masks. Love this park and plan to visit again when we return to NYC just not on a Sunday;)

No matter which entrance you start, you can always walk (or bike or jog or skate to your heart's content. Make a big loop to come back where you started, or exit on the other side of the Park to explore other neighborhoods.

Nice and fresh cold January air was good for me. It was a great walk alongside the cyclists and the runners.

Great place to visit, it is so big that you don't feel like you are in the middle of a massive city. Lots of lovely places to find, you could easily spend hours there!
