The park is lovely and huge, and i proposed to my girlfiend on Gapstow bridge.We didn't have time to explore it all but we did go to the zoo and was well worth it (albeit smaller than a normal zoo)

I think most people missed the NYE (as in New Year's Eve, and not NYC...). If that is the case, I would imagine that it is not as free to walk around, as there are sections closed (for the fireworks) and security checks at... More

Check with the person with the horse and buggy at the Upper West Side. They always have the latest infos..maybe negotiate the rides
