I'm so glad we booked the Ellis Island Hard Hat Tour. Between that tour and the 30-minute NPS ranger led tour, we got a very good feel for the Island. Without the Hard Hat Tour, we would have seen very little.

Not much to see ,all the pics already available on the net ....waste of money ....but somebody wants to kill Time please go ahead and pay a visit. All the best

Take the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station. At Penn Station walk down the corridor to the 1 subway, Take the 1 subway to South Ferry. Walk a few blocks from the subway to the ticket booth. Just keep the kids together... More

No probs bringing a backpack to Ellis island and Statue of Liberty trip Ques are very long and can take up to two hours there is an express q which I would advise as can be very cold no prob on bringing lunch with u and... More

Depends on time of year you visit, but May to Sept it is roughly 8: to 7 pm. It is not no much as when the island is open but when the ferries run. If you wait too late the last ferry to Liberty island then Ellis will not... More
