We purchased the Ellis Island Statue of Liberty trip for two using Trip Advisor. The trip company was NYC Walks and aviator ticketing. The website and actual ticket clearly say depart fromLiberty State park NJ, a 20min ride via Holland Tunnel from lower Manhattan. At will call the attendant had no idea what our ticket was and the manager said it was a 3rd party ticket and not for their ferry. Luckily we had arrived an hour early and the NYC Walks agent purchase and sent us correct tickets. The real point of departure for the trip was pier 26 only 10min from our hotel! So we paid $32 in tolls extra. Visitor and NYC Walks blame Trip Advisor, but they both aren’t screening their tour info

Great site to visit, along with Ellis Island
May 2021
We visited just as new York is loosening up from COVID restrictions. So, on the plus side, there were a lot of people, but not at all crowded. We could only visit the exterior of the statue, which I think was fine for us - staying outside was a plus. Negative side - bring your own water and snacks as the vendors were mostly closed or not set up for the number of visitors with us that day. Not well advertised is that each site includes the audio tour as part of your ticket. We didn't get the tour at the Statue of Liberty, but the audio tour for Ellis Island was great. You can skip through the "re-creations" and stay with facts easily. It is very informative and I learned a lot about how the immigrants fared.

The Statue Of Liberty is one of the world’s most iconic and beloved attraction and is regarded as an inspirational symbol of freedom and democracy.

In the summer of 2018, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a visit of the Statue of Liberty and we were undoubtedly captivated by the beauty and immense stature of this neoclassical designed sculpture.

Standing at 305 feet high (from the ground level to the torch), the statue was designed by notable French architecture, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, constructed by engineer, Gustavo Eiffel and officially dedicated in October of 1886.

During our visit of the Statue, my wife and I were fortunate to visit the interior of the Statue, and thus we were able to view its extensive furnishings and collections and excitedly explore inside the Statue’s pillar and crown.

We both highly recommend for everyone to take the time to visit and tour this wonderful National Monument!!!

Once in a lifetime

The best thing we did whilst in New York - and we did an awful lot in our 5 days! The queue for the boat over is a little frustrating, but once through security checks it all speeds up a bit.

We were lucky enough to have tickets for the crown, which we had bought several months before. So glad we did, as it was a truly unique experience and one which we will never forget.

During my stay in New York , i visited a lot of things like the empire state building , the statue of liberty, central park. But the place that like the most was Broadway with these theaters, streets dancers, these concerts.

The food in yhis country is not very healthy compared to what weeat in France. I discovered what it was like to eat a real mcdo with real steak inside , otherwise i tasted the filled donuts which are just extremely good.

If i should go back there i would go to neighborhoods like Chinatown to discover a culture in a city and i would also go to see the Brooklyn Bridge which is huge and a marvel of architecture

It is one of the most iconic symbols of our generation! I knew some of the history behind the statue, although it was so much more than my initial depth.

Enjoyed the visit although it was not fully opened yet

We loved this tour but we regreted (although we knew) that we could only visit the museum (which let us undertand the history very nicely). Hopefully it will be open on our next visit!

NYC is opening back up and it’s a good time to go. It was not crowded and the tour was great. The museum was open and Lady Liberty was closed due to construction. It’s just something you have to see.

You have to go- although they still haven't opened up the statue to go up. Maybe someday. The museum is well done, and you get a good sense of what the whole story is.
