This building was saved from destruction by Jackie Kennedy in the 1960s after NYC sadly demolished the old Penn Station. The station was renovated about 20 years ago, and maintains its shine. When walking through it, if you have entered the 42nd street main entrance...More

I am a sucker for architecture and all things old. I must say I was not impressed as I approached the terminal, I just looked like a run down old office block. Once inside it was like a tardis.... huge!! I really loved this building....More

The experience in the terminal played around a lot of movies in my mind - movies that had where filmed here. I literally tried the "secret conversations" ; the bustle and the hustle of NYC is felt here. Shops in the basement serve great food.

Grand Central Terminal makes me proud to be an American - to have a structure that measures up to the antiquity in Europe. Yes - we are not as old as a country as European nations - but our architectural standards measure up. The restaurants...More

If you think the outside is impressive - take a look inside. It is a very ending maze of travel and architecture.

It keeps classic interior and is worth a quick visit even if you are not taking a train. The food court in the basement is good for a quick bite as well.

Beautifully renovated, Grand Central is so much more than a station. When I am near 42nd street, whether it be meeting friends or solo, I head to the food court. Try soup, salad, fresh bakery, New York cheese cake, Mendy’s Kosher deli hot pastrami sandwiches...More

Hi Gina G -- please visit Metro-North Railroad's website to view Train Schedules. You will want to look at the Hudson line for train times to Beacon, NY.

not sure how far the actual store is but Penn Station is likely your best option from BWI to NYC. Once at Penn Station take a cab--faster.
