Overpriced for the Condition
Apr 2021
Great views of the mountains. Course was beat up and the greens were full of patches. Staff was nice and the course was well run. Seemed to be more locals playing this course.

Never going back
Aug 2020
Today I played behind a nine some with eight sets of clubs. The course manager couldn't do anything about it.

a quick and delicious bite in a relaxing atmosphere
Nov 2019
My Mom and I stopped here to have lunch on Nov 30, 2019. The atmosphere is casual, but the view of the golf course with a breeze coming through the windows was peaceful. The food was delicious and the service was excellent (our server was Kuli P). She was super friendly and kept on checking on us to see if we needed anything and if we were happy with our food. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quick bite whether you are playing golf or not. The garlic shrimp mixed plate is so ONO!

Never Again
Nov 2018 • Friends
Was back in Hawaii for a high school reunion. Had the chance to play golf with a couple classmates and a former assistant basketball coach who generously made time to accommodate my request and time schedule. We "played" Olomana on a Thursday afternoon -- there were about 5 cars in the lot which should have tipped us off about what was to come. The restaurant wasn't open so we went to the L & L down the road for lunch. Since no one else seemed to playing, after our partners arrived we were given the go-ahead to tee off. Because of heavy rains the week before and apparently little or no operating funds, the fairways were ankle-deep in most places and soft conditions meant "cart-path only" play. It was a "hit and hope you can find your ball" kind of day -- if I wasn't with three good friends with good senses of humor, we would have all left for the 19th Puka long before playing 18-holes. As it was, we all had a good laugh and will remember this outing for years to come. Sadly, I played here in the 1970's with my Dad, but this is not a place to play golf anymore -- never again.

A mixed but not bad restaurant experience
Jun 2017 • Friends
Ten steps up, not good for elderly. Mighty drafty on a windy day. Close shutters and ask for ventilators to be turned off. They do that. Unnecessary loud blaring speakers. Can never understand that, coming from noisy city into supposedly peaceful, quiet country and still get loud noise. Nice view over the golf course.
Breakfast till 11 AM. Good stuff.

Champion ($8) Two eggs your style, two decent slices of good ham, very good-looking hash browns. B.

Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. ($10) Quite good. B.

Loco Moco ($12) Huge portion. Two big hamburger patties (good meat, hot, tasty) two eggs of your choice (my poached were slightly overcooked.) on a big pile of rice with lots of slightly over-salted gravy. B.

Coffee ($2.63) Good, hot and strong. B+

All food well presented. Good country-style service. Hard-working gals, one especially well-structured with friendly smile.

Food value: A

Clean toilets.

Be back? Yes.

Making improvements
Mar 2017 • Friends
Olomana offers some unique golf holes lined with majestic trees. Sadly, it went into disrepair under prior ownership. But the new ownership is putting some significant money into maintaining and improving this course. Kudos to them for taking care of a local place to play far away from the tourist throngs. The restaurant has great food. Add talented. local musicians on Friday nights and you have a wonderful evening.

Rural golfing at it's finest
Jan 2017 • Couples
The twilight rate is very reasonable and starts early and they have a nice military discount. This might not be the best kept course and due to it's location it is pretty muddy at times (I played in the winter) but the area it beautiful and the golf is challenging. Fairways and greens are in very good shape but the sand traps are more like concrete traps. Bring extra balls there is plenty of water and swampy areas .(lower rating due to sand traps)

Terrible course conditions, not worth the green fees.
Oct 2015 • Friends
Course was in terrible shape, fairways were either hardpan or overgrown, it's like the groundskeepers don't work here. Mud everywhere, bunkers are like concrete, water hazards are swampy, I could go on and on. I mean if they were charging $20-30 to play the course then that would be fine, but look at the green fees online. Total ripoff.

Try Pali Golf Course where you get your money's worth, or literally any other course on Oahu. Olomana is the absolute worst for the price you pay.

Oloman Golf Links Good Course, Bad Guest Services
Nov 2014
Although Obama plays here on the regular, the golf course got hammered with rain the day before we played, so my review could be viewed as a data anomaly. When I typically play golf on business trips, and the weather before or during the round affects our play, staff typically offer you something. Unfortunately, this place did nothing for us (even 10% of the bar coupons) as a gesture, so I doubt I will go back anytime in the near future. There are just too many golf courses on Oahu, and all of them deal with adverse weather, so I find it very unprofessional that this place did not do anything for our group. My shoes were basically ruined with mud after the round, but the hotel took care of cleaning them for us...something the course should have done.
