This is a beautiful beach. We throughly enjoyed kayaking out to the mokes, you can hire a stand up paddle board or kayak in the area. My partner and I hired a double seater kayak out and paddled our to mokulua island. The paddle out...More

Even if you don’t have enough time to swim or snorkel, you definitely must stop to see this beautiful beach! It is the image we had in our minds when we were thinking of a beach in Hawaii. Take as many pictures as you can!!!

Another beautiful Hawaiian beach with golden sand, gentle breeze and surf, and amazing coral reefs just offshore.

Sugar white sand. Palm trees. Views of islands. This beach has now been discovered but still plenty of space. Parking is on the street. Just drive till you find a spot.

Limited parking in the village of Lanikai and the funky neighborhood access trails to the beach. The man-made seawall might've deteriorated the beach conditions but it improved the snorkeling conditions. We heard that snorkeling is so-so on Oahu in the winter months due to choppy...More

I am from a tropical island known for its beautiful beaches, so I'm not easily impressed by beaches, but Lanikai is a very beautiful one. The water is clear and calm and there were not that many people when I went, it's definitely quieter than...More

This beach is terrible, no parking, no shade, no toilet facilities, totally crowded. Better to just stay in Waikiki or if you must come to the Windward side, go for Kailua beach park or Kalama beach park....

Haven't been to the other spots you mentioned but my wife and I loved Lanikai! We found 3 turtles out there and we swam with them for half an hour before they moved on. It was awesome! Plus it's a quiet beach, less touristy... More

I’m sure you can but it would be a long drive. I recommend renting a car so you can hang out at the beach and visit the many restaurants and shops. I always rent a car so I can travel and visit at my pace.
