The better the golfer you are, the more you will hate this course. It's a freak-show of forced carries, jungle 10 yards off the fairway, and lost golf balls. May be good if you ever wanted to play a 3-club round (say 5 iron, wedge,...More

We have now visited the Royal Hawiian Golf club restaurant on two ocassions for breakfast. The food served there is to die for, and the service unprecedented. The mountain views are sublime and peaceful. All is particularly well priced so does not break the bank.

The course: The front 9 wanders through dense jungle and is fairly tough target golf. Dramatic elevation changes, creeks, streams, and lakes make it beautiful and difficult. The wetness makes conditions poor, however, and some greens are 50% dead. The front 9 plays over a...More

Short but challenging golf course with beautiful views of the Koolau mountains. Service was professional and courteous. If you don’t hit your shots straight, then bring a lot of balls. Lunch menu was diverse and the hamburgers were delicious.

The golf course is an absolute wonder....stunning scenery and challenging golf. However, The greens were an absolute mess.....they had been airrated then closely mowed, BEFORE being rolled. A good percentage of the grass was mowed to mud, and they weren’t reading true...just a a bubbly...More

This was by far the prettiest golf course we have ever played on. The contrasts in the scenery were so dramatic. On one side you had steep cliffs and then on the other side you had dense ferns. The staff were the most polite people...More

Up in the foothills of the jungle NE of town about a 40 minute drive. We played it because the couple we were traveling with had access through another club. Greens and fairways were in average shape with some unique holes. Service was very good...More

Absolutely amazing golf course. Greens and fairways were in great shape based on other courses I played and the elevation changes from the front 9 to the back 9 nine make this course a great challenge, but fair for golfers of all skill levels. Just...More

Stopped by for breakfast only. The area is beautiful and the restaurant facility is certainly very nice. The service was very good but the breakfast itself was another story. I had a simple fried egg breakfast which was ok although a little overpriced and out...More
