Nice place to take a moment and soak in the sun on a nice beach. The current was strong in early June so be carful with small children. Lots of beaches in this area so take your time and enjoy them all. I like this...More

Well, the beaches were closed to swimming and surfing due to high/dangerous tides, however they could not close the views. We had stopped in at the art gallery in Haleiwa and noticed that most of the landscapes were painted at Sunset Beach, so there we...More

Sunset beach is beautiful with soft sand and sunshine. The ocean waves are big and great for the experienced surfer. The water depth drops quickly so it isn't great if you're looking to go wading. The surf can be a powerful force so be cautious.

Great surf and a beautiful sunset is what you’ll find here on the north shore. Soft sand with a sea turtle resting is a bonus

This is a nice beach but the parking is very limited and I do not think it is worth the trouble to find a spot if there is not one already available when you get there. There are plenty of small beaches along the road...More

We stopped here and ate the lunch we packed on the green grass area. The beach had nice sand and a beautiful place to relax. Lots of people enjoying the shallow water and snorkelers too.

Parking is at a premium so snag a spot wherever you can. Admission was free the day we were there but perhaps it depends on the event.
