The area is the site of the prison from earlier days. There is a story on a sign outside but was roped off so you couldn't go inside. Its a nice piece of history that needs to be developed more.

This is very old prison is really neat to see if you like historic buildings. When you see where it is located it is strange to think of a prison located where it is.

My wife and I recently visited this site and found it to be somewhat interesting. As others have noted, the site could have been more fully developed. However, we appreciated what was there including the various pieces of flora on the site. It turned out...More

We discovered this place when our Lyft driver passed it on the way to our final destination. It's peaceful, spacious, and allows for a quick self-tour to days gone by.

There is space at the gate for about 3 cars to park for free. Posted sign says 20min is the max parking time. And that's okay as you really only need that amount of time here. A few signs explain the history and rules for...More

Free entry and a few parking lots out front make this museum easily accessible. It’s a shot but interesting stop, where you can walk around the grounds and see inside the cell block. Worth seeing if you have some time to kill in Lahaina.

Worth a stop for a quick look around. Read the history info, take a look at the courtyard and cells. Interesting little site. It won’t take 15 mins but if your in Lahaina is a good stop....and it’s free!

We accidentally came upon this site. It was very interesting to see the actual prison area, the jail cells and the history behind the prison and how the prisoners got there. If you have about :15 minutes and you are walking thru Lahaina, take a...More
