We so enjoyed this beautiful stretch of sandy beach - blue ocean. Make sure you take a swim , stroll at Kā’anapali Beach.

This beach is absolutely beautiful with warm water and relatively small crowds. I was a little bit surprised how quickly the water dropped off and how short the area of sand was from the grassy area to the water was though.

Kaanapali is probably the best beach resort area on Maui. The beach is long and sandy - lined with many high-end resorts. The water is warm, gentle waves and beautiful.

The snorkeling at Black Rock was awesome! Lots of fish and sea turtles too! Parking is limited but you can find it at nearby hotels for a fee.

I've stayed at Kaanapali, Maui twice and I love the beach there. The part right behind the Sheraton is amazing...the 'black rock' lava flow has great snorkeling with turtles there all the time.

Beautiful beach. We sat out every evening and watched the sunset. Our 1st visit to Maui. We enjoyed it much more than Oahu. It had more of an island feel than Oahu did.

There is a place called whalers village (shopping and restaurants) which has public parking and is near the beach. There is also a paved path that goes from one end to the entire other end. You can get to the actual beach... More

Wal Mart is the cheapest place to buy but closest to Black Rock might be pricey.

The Bamboo Forest is close than Road to Hana waterfalls. They have 4 to 5 falls, about a 15 min. hike. Also a rock fall you can jump from. Kids would enjoy. Molokini, check the weather for high winds. Mine was cancelled, but... More
