Nothing much to see here, so you can read the inscriptions or just keep moving along. Unfortunately much of what was here (in Lahaina) is very hard to preserve and much of it lost to the great eraser of time.

The piece of land that the present day library stands on is indicated as being "The King's Taro" patch. This is where the staple food, taro, was once grown. It now looks like a lawn but a marker does indicate the area. If you are...More

Just along from the Banyan tree is this historic patch. Well worth a visit to see how things once were.
