This was my first time experiencing a black sand beach, and I was just amazed by how beautiful it is! The windex-blue water, ebony sand, and bright green vegetation made for the most stunning setting I’ve ever visited. It wasn’t a huge beach, but people...More

Bring aqua socks if you are going to the black sand beach. Good shoes if you ant to walk around a lot. Great views! There were a couple baws smoking doobies in the parking lot.

It is a beautiful place. The walk to the beach is not short and involves stairs. The view from above is magnificent. We only stopped for a few minutes and did not swim, but I would certainly stop there again.

Wear comfortable shoes on the hike along the cliffs to see the gorgeous views of the coastline. The beach is interesting, too. There are nice areas for picnicking in the shade and public restrooms. It appears that there is camping as well. Come early to...More

No Clamping here. This is the same cabins I stayed in as a child back in the 70's and 80's they did just have a renovation. So the floors, showers and kitchen area are looking good. Bare minimum for supplies. Bring your own towels, bedding...More

This is a unique beach that is small yet very beautiful. The beach with black sands(more of volcanic lava remains than sand actually) is an excellent place to take a dip. The experience is surreal with waves coming in to a small bay covered on...More

The park is busy in the day, quite a few folks around, we hiked and it was fine. I would recommend that you call in ahead and check what the outdoor camping facilities are, then make a decision about over night. all the... More
