The locals will tell you not to drive down to the beach. Lots of trash has washed up: tires, plastic, garbage. But, the views from the paved highway before heading to the beach get you wanting to go all the way down. Its not nearly...More

Must have a 4-wheel drive! If you don't, there is a parking lot before the turn-off. We hiked (didn't have 4-wheel drive). Took about 45 minutes to get to Shipwreck Beach, parts were shaded. Lots of paths from road to the beach. Once you reach...More

Bring a trash bag with you and collect some of the fish nets and other plastics that wash up here. Will make you feel great and it should give you a sense of helping the turtles that you will see just off the shore.

The drive to shipwreck beach is one of the easier treks on the Island. If you're short on time but looking for a nice beach side view with some unique history this is a perfect spot. The trash can build up a bit, thank you...More

It's worth visiting this beach just to see the open view of the ocean on the way down the mountain. a lot of washed up debris on the beach. Not for swimming, but worth seeing,

Great views. A bit of a walk from the parking spot but you are rewarded with awesome pics and a serene isolated beach. Make sure you get your Jeep from John at Lanai jeep rental.net!
