The Stone Dam is closed right now, which makes this a really lackluster hike compared to others on the island. Not much as far as views, although the mahogany forest is kind of cool. The trail is well maintained and fairly flat, so it would...More

The description I read left us thinking this would be an easy hike. It was not. We're hikers too; we'd hiked 3 miles in Waimea canyon the day before. The Wai Koa Loop was a very, very, very muddy 4.5 mile hike. Often we had...More

An easy long walk in the nature on flat terrain. A plantation of mahogany trees and then open space, at the end of the trail a dam and a beautiful garden. A loop trail to get back to the entrance.

This was just as good as the pictures I’ve seen. You walk through a Mahogany forest, through some wide open spaces with views of the mountains, past some houses, then you reach heaven on Earth. It had been raining on and off during our hike...More
