- DotsGirl2Vancouver, Canada461 contributionsKona Coffee is the BestWe took the hour tour and enjoyed learning all about how coffee is grown, processed and roasted. The view from their patio is wonderful. They let you have unlimited tasting of their four different blends. Our only disappointment was the drink they served at the end. The guide radioed up to have them get our drinks ready and we were expecting something special. When we got there we were given a small tester of one of their teas. It was very small. None of us liked it so maybe that is why they gave such small portions so you have less waste. After our guide talked it up I think we were expecting regular size drinks. Maybe she shouldn’t have built it up so much. The staff were all really friendly. It is a little difficult to find but we had a good timeVisited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 October 2023
- hcoliPortsmouth, New Hampshire139 contributionsGreat VisitNeeded something to do on our last day on the island and found this via Trip Advisor - what a great find! We did the tour and sampled some great coffee. Learned a lot about coffee production and Kona coffee in particular. Staff were both informative and very helpful!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 October 2023
- Rookie Wine MakerRosemount, Minnesota372 contributionsBeautiful views!Beautiful location! The signs as you drive up to it have funny sayings. It is worth the trip. Very friendly staff and an informative tour. The views are great. Coffee options for tasting is good. A good place to go to learn about coffee and have a cup.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 October 2023
- Timothy HMorton, Illinois23 contributionsGreat Tour - Learned a Lot about CoffeeThis was a great tour. It was well worth the time that we spent here. We learned a lot about coffee making and what make Kona coffee special. Got to see where they grow and process the beans into delicious coffee. They have beautiful grounds and give lots of free coffee. I would recommend a morning tour (which we took so you can get the full benefit of the views to the ocean). In afternoon, clouds / rain can roll in and will take away from the beauty of the place.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 October 2023
- Carl10 contributionsWorth a VisitThe tour was interesting and fun. The view is beautiful; bring a lunch and enjoy some time on the deck overlooking the ocean from up high, very high. The coffee is delicious, doesn't need sugar and milk; but very pricy.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 November 2023
- TravelingFamOmaha, Nebraska966 contributionsInformative! We love this farm and really love the coffee. Nice talking to the interns working on the farm. The tour is great and so informative. Hot coffee Samples available. Cafe has drinks with unique cold brew options. Scones and other gift items. We didn’t try, but it looks like they have Brewing classes available too. That would be fun to try.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 November 2023
- Anne GHilton Head, South Carolina30 contributionsHeavenlyThis coffee farm is definitely worth a visit if you are on the big island. Our tour was within a very small group of six of us and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. She works there every day and has her jobs rotate so she could speak to the entire process. If you really want to learn about coffee, go to this coffee farm. Be aware that the drive up to this farm is very steep and the parking is tight. If you have trouble walking, do not go on this tour because there’s a lot of steps and steep climbs.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 November 2023
- gary K41 contributionsTop notch farm tourInformative tour. Made me appreciate why Kona coffee is of such high quality. We were given 5 coffees to sample and 3 chocolates made with a coffee component. Kate was a very personable and knowledgable docent and was especially good with involving an focusing a rambunctious 4 year old. The tour guides all work in multiple capacities on the farm so they are very involved and invested.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 November 2023
- Kai Y6 contributionsCoffeeWow just wow! What an incredible experience. Plenty of sample coffee of the best coffee I have a tasted. On top of that you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean I recommend this to anyone who loves coffee! I definitely would like to come back. I did the farm tour learned a lot. Helped me appreciate the coffee more. This is a must do when visiting the big island.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 11 November 2023
- Kelly CWashington DC, District of Columbia5 contributionsSo fun!We did the Paniolo coffee roasting experience and had a great time. I would recommend adding a tour since this experience does not come with the tour included. The staff here is really friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe here is great. The view from the property is exceptional so I would plan to spend a little extra time after your tour enjoying the view and a coffee.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 November 2023

Really nice stop to make as you're touring about the west side of the island. I've been to several coffee farms on the Big Island and elsewhere in Hawaii, so I confess I didn't learn much that was new here, but it was unique in the sense that it had a lovely little spot to relax and enjoy some brew with a view at the end, which was a nice bonus. We wound up being with a fairly large and boisterous group (most of whom were family and knew each other), so it made asking questions a little difficult, and things were a little disorganized in the registration and check-in (one one ever could tell us how a tour advertised as free required a $5 per person reservation fee), but it wasn't the end of the world and we still had a pretty good time. Coffee was tasty, and my only recommendation might have been for someone to have introduced the different coffees in the sample carafes that were put out for patrons -- there wasn't much info except a name card for the different brews, which might have made it a little easier to figure out what to buy on the way out (we just wound up looking it up on our phones). Perhaps someone just forgot to put the signage out. :)

Beautiful views, interesting tour, delicious coffee, very welcoming staff, friendly guide--I highly recommend this tour! It's such a pleasant, beautiful atmosphere, you won't regret visiting. We came back for coffee on other days and even on a rainy day the staff was so sweet and helpful. They are very Covid conscientious, and on a holiday there was quite a few people but I felt very safe and protected.

We booked a tour for 3 of us for 10am. We had arrived really early so luckily they were able to have us join the 9:15am tour instead even though we were a few minutes late. The farm was easy to find, although we noticed that parking filled up quickly as the morning went on. The farm is on a beautiful setting, with gift shop, and also separate cafe to purchase a cup of coffee to enjoy poolside.
It was a sunny day so the farm was prepared to lend large umbrellas for shade while we listened to the guide. My 80+ year old mother needed some assistance with getting around the farm, so they drove her down the hill. They also provided a chair for her to sit when we were in the lower part of the farm.
The coffee here was really good, so good in fact that we became members. They also provided some nice samples of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, some locally grown honey, and also delicious cascara tea which I never had before.
Thank you Heavenly Hawaiian for the warm hospitality and delicious coffee! This was a nice way to spend our morning.

I partook in the farm tour and roasting experience. Take note, if you do the roasting experience the farm tour is included in the price. Cole was a fantastic tour guide for the farm and presented the information in an engaging and hilarious manner. Suli was also very engaging and pleasant in the coffee roasting experience. The staff here are awesome to chat with, with a few exceptions. The farm itself has a really nice vibe to it with great views. Prices for the coffee feel exorbitant but that’s what you get when it’s a small operation.

This was incredible! My wife and I drove up the windy road to get to the farm and were immediately greeted with a huge smile by a worker who led us in to drink their incredible silk coffee. He said he was from the Dominican Republic and we spoke for a few minutes where he encouraged us to drink all the coffee we wanted (for free) and shower is where to wait before the next tour would start. My wife and I had about 3-4 cups of the best coffee of our lives before Melissa gave us a fantastic tour. We even got to see coffee being fire roasted. At the end we all received a generous sampling of delicious macadamia nuts. This company truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel happy and caffeinated!

Having been to multiple tours on the island for Coffee, this one is the best, hands down.
The coffee is delicious and on tap for you to have if you come early; they have a super cute little coffee bar off to the side if you want to order/buy a latte to enjoy during your tour as well. The Barista at the time... Connor I think, was so much fun and excellent. Made super delicious drinks and gave us a show.
The tour itself was lead by Townsend. Super witty, quick and fun. Honestly everyone on staff just seemed like a great human being and I will always take my friends to this farm for tours because it never disappoints.
You'll get to see beans at various stages, be guided by some great people who absolutely know what they're talking about, get some gosh-dang gorgeous views of the Kona-coast and learn a lot! The coffee is expensive, but it's some of the smoothest you'll have so I definitely recommend signing up for their Coffee-Mail program if you can, or at least take home an 8oz bag to enjoy and reminisce!
There's not a lot of cover, they do have water around but it doesn't hurt to bring your own bottle and wear sunblock! Umbrellas are also available to block out the sun.

We went on our last morning in Kona. It was a great experience and the staff was really nice. We learned a lot about Kona coffee and would recommend the experience. The tour was only $8 per person and we signed up two hours before going.

The view is astonishing overlooking the ocean from a swimming pool. There were four coffee samples and a tea sample which are decent and interesting. The tour itself was underwhelming - we didn't get to see any picking/processing in action, and the guide seemed a bit new to the farm/business. We also ordered the $20 Geisha Champaign hand pour, and the barista was incredibly slow while the coffee was great. It gave the impression that the farm was recently taken over by a new team and they were still ramping up.
Overall, it's not worth the $15 ticket while the other farms offer free tours. If you're interested in the coffee or the view, you can just drive here and get a coffee to sip by the poolside.

There are better tours on farms that are free. I’d visit here and see, no reason to spend any money. $15 a person and tax is not worth it. The guide was delightful and informed, but a 30 minute tour that basically showed very little, was not worth my time. Very difficult road to get up to their farm. Did not enjoy

We had such a fun time on the tour of Heavenly Coffee Farm. Our guide (and everyone we came into contact that worked on the farm) was so friendly and had great knowledge to share about the whole coffee process. The farm was lovely to see and there were also some great views to see too. It was about $6 per person for the tour which we thought was extremely well priced for the tour, free chocolate and coffee samples too. We would highly recommend this coffee farm and tour!!

How far out in advance should you book for tours? Can we wait until we are on the island - a few days in advance? Or should we book a ways out?

Arriving on Cruise ship in morning. Would like to go to Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee Farm. Don’t want rental car. Any suggestions to go there, and what should transportation cost be?
Written 26 January 2020
Aloha!
We would love to have you come visit the farm! Our best recommendation is to either take an Uber to the farm or rent a vehicle.
We are currently working towards changing this, but do not have any other transportation options right now.

But this is Hawaii (this means that we sometimes open late and close early or sometimes hang a sign that we are closed if we have to go into town)
