I go to about six shows each year in this beautifully restored opera house. Most tickets are $20-$35. Of course, the bigger acts might cost $60-$70. There is a wide variety of performers - Country, Bluegrass, Jazz, Blues, Western Swing and more - something for...More

A great place to see and listen to an acoustic concert. I sat in the balcony and the sound was excellent. Yes, the seats are wooden and hard, but use the provided cushions and you will survive! They also book great acts in there as...More

First of all, the seats are really uncomfortable. Even with cushions, we could not tolerate more than 90 minutes sitting on those hard seats. Second, as our announcer gladly announced, the opera house has the second slowest elevator in the land. Seating is limited, but...More

This place is so beautiful. The acoustics are fantastic but the seats are so uncomfortable. We tried the pads but they weren’t much help.

...to the performers! Recently saw a Michael Perry production there, and were totally impressed with the venue. True, as others have said, the seats are hard, but you can't beat the ambiance of a place like the Stoughton Opera House. Lots of shows to pick...More

If you can get past the hardest seats in the Midwest (they offer free cushions) - and don't mind darting across the street for a quick one at Fahrenheit 364....you will find yourself in one of the finest and most adored venues for roots/folk/country/eclectic music...More

In spite of the tiny hard wooden seating, all the seats offer close access to the performers. The front row of the balcony, even and maybe especially the far ends of the balcony, may be the best seats. It's a small place with the bathroom...More

This is an old theater with wooden seats but you can get a pad for the seat at the theater. Even though it is old it has been nicely renovated and is worth attending a performance. They have a variety of performances each year.

We attended the Suzy Bogguss concert in this historic theater and the sound was beautiful...her voice, the arrangements and the band gave me chills. It was a full house and an engaged audience. I highly recommend this intimate theater.

It's intimate. Orchestra, Balcony, and box seating. If you sit in the front boxes, you really have to angle yourself if the lead singer is not center-stage. Bring a cushion, as the original wooden chairs are, you know, wooden. The box office also has cushions...More
