Other than some of the museum's I've visited in Washington D..C., this is by far THE BEST museum I've visited, and I've visited hundreds of them in my lifetime. The exhibits are stunning! We were highly impressed with the realism of the displays. The creators,...More

The Milwaukee Public Museum offers an education, fun day. Although there are few hands-on exhibits for kids, they will enjoy wandering the galleries looking at the dioramas and displays. The Streets of Old Milwaukee and Dinosaurs were highlights, plus the diverse animals are amazing -...More

There are plenty of exhibits that will allow you to spend hours looking at the artifacts and dioramas. The one drawback is a lack of interactive activities for little ones. My daughter loved the butterfly exhibit and my oldest son wanted to read all about...More

We just had our wedding here and it was amazing. Everyone loved it. With the exception of a Nicole, who was by far the most unhelpful and stressful part of my wedding, everything was perfect.

This museum was loads of fun for our kids and we had a good time. It's got a great bit of diversity amongst the floors, but my daughter loved the butterfly area and the boys liked the dinosaur exhibits...

Massive place over 3 floors. Really interesting and have a wonderful butterfly garden too. A fun place for all ages. My family spent 5 hours in there and could have spent more!

Whole family fun, lots to see! Took little and old alike to the museum. We had a great time! Spent a good 5 hours here. As teachers, they gave us a discount!

Made it here later in the afternoon. Only regret was not coming earlier. So many different collections, very well organized. Our family of 4 thought this was the highlight of our trip to Milwaukee.

I didn't go on First Thursday. I think even if it was crowded, you would be able to manage getting through the museum with minimal inconvenience.

Heck NO! This mueseum tries to be all things for everybody. It's more online being a combo Museum of Sci and Ind and Natural History. Small potatoes compared to Chicago Museums.

All the answers make sense to me, really. I could spend a couple hours, or a whole day, depending on other commitments. Plus, because I live in the area I can always go back!
