A local man walking his dogs on the nearby Coast Path told me about the Marra statue at Horden Welfare Park, so next day I caught a bus to Horden and walked through the snow to find it and read the inscriptions on the seats....More

Beautiful small, very well kept park, a credit to the keepers. Two play areas for the children, infants and older ones. A hidden gem.

Nice park with a cafe, pop in for a creamed tea, and a visit to the Heritage Museum. See Marra the mining statue on your visit. Two play parks for the children.

A wonderful place to meander slowly and take in the flowers. The statue is a wonderful addition to the park and fits in perfectly with the history on the park benches. The rugby ground isn't used, but in the summer months you can gain access...More

We took some of our less able bodied members on a " short walk-through the welfare park . they live locally but had never been through the park since the 60's and 70's ans were delighted to see the coffee shop and museum and seeing...More

Live very close to welfare park and has been gorgeous to look at and Football field, rugby pitches, cricket pitch and bowling greens have been 2nd to none for years! Lovely for a dog walk, steady stroll or taking the kids to the park has...More
