A city park with nice falls. Just before the lower falls there are hundreds of salmons at the pond. In the upper falls few of them missed the ladder and tried to jump

If the salmon are running (and they were this day) it's definitely a 5 star park. But even if they are not running it's a solid 4 Star. The walk around the old damn had interpretative kiosks that price educational information about the area and...More

Although this park is a nice little walk anytime, with the end of September comes Salmon. Not only can visitors observe the fish in the hatchery, you are able to view them swimming upstream through fish ladders. This time of year presents a unique opportunity...More

Park was busy. Grass was maintained well. Could see fish in the river. Seems like some things needed repairs but looked like they were working on it. Parking area is small but seemed to work. Dogs are allowed.

At first glance, the park looks more like a parking lot from the street. Once you're able to find the parking area, it's all good from there. Sit in the shade for a nice picnic lunch, play around in the open grass area, have lunch...More

The park offers off street parking and an area for children to play. We like to walk past the salmon capture pens and down along the Deschutes River to the lower falls with views of the old Olympia brewhouse. The salmon have arrived and are...More

I've been to Tumwater quite a few times, and always thought that I had been here. I haven't until now. The water is incredible, falls and more falls, rivulets, streams, rivers, water gushing out of every nook and cranny. With all the greenery and moss,...More
