This is a great park with restrooms, covered picnic area and children's playground. Also has a boat launch. Careful at low tides as the beach is muddy at low tide and it is easy to sink up to your thighs. Clamming here at certain times of the year--with a state license. Good for paddleboarding too.

Our family enjoys visiting this beach and park when we want a combination of playground play and beach exploration. The walk along the bluff has some great sea glass hunting and great views of the harbor and Nichols Brothers boat works and launch.

A good playground for kids and great entertainment before the July 3 fireworks. They also have picnic tables and you can rent Freeland Hall for weddings and etc.

We have often taken our grandsons here to the playground and beach. It is a nice park with a great little kids playground - with FAB views of Holmes Harbor.

Very nice public beach, great tide flats. The mean high tide mark is where the beaches are all private. Tide flats are fair game. Great horse clam digging (very good chowder meat). Must have license. Some of the great sunsets in the area in the summer

Free boat launch, public bathrooms, kids area with slides, swings, jungle gym. Easy access to the beach and water. Its not really a lay-out-on-the-beach kind of place, as its too rocky. However we like to bring the dog here to play, or just come by for a picnic along the waterfront. This is a relatively popular as a lunch stop for delivery drivers from off-island, as well.

This is also a very nice place to watch the eagles and heron's in the wild.

If you come for Independence Day Celebrations there is a great (and Free!) fireworks show, live music, food booths, and lots of people. However, it is on JULY 3RD! (I am not sure why, but I think it's not to compete with other nearby shows). We prefer it, because we can watch the show with the community on the 3rd, and spend the 4th at home with the family launching our own fireworks.
