Quilt Shows
Aug 2017 • Friends
There is a lot to see here, but I always enjoy the quilt shows they have there. Check it out and look at all of the old stuff they offer about Castle Rock!

Great attraction

The Castler Rock exhibit hall is a great stop when traveling through western Washington. It seems small & uninspiring. However, when you walk through the doors, it's a world of wonder.

I had experienced Mt. St.Helens blow her top in my 20's so it was cool to read all the facts on it. Alot of interesting ecologically based facts. Some fun interactive exhibits too. Need to come back and hike around. Loved the short movie.

VISITOR CENTER MOVED TO EXIT 49 WEST SIDE!!!
Jul 2016 • Solo
"Our" new visitors center is gorgeous! As soon as one exits to the west side of I-5 exit 49 the building is immediately to ones left, situated on the edge of the Park & Ride lot with plenty of parking. Both locals and non-locals will enjoy being there. The outside is beautifully landscaped; the selection of information inside local and statewide very good, and there are very nice items for sale, for all ages. (I particularly liked the license plate map for the kids.) Bought a very nice coffee cup for myself, obtained information on a local event and a couple of businesses I've not been to yet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

A new visitors center is in the planning.....the repurposed dilapidated building just couldn't take it anymore. I volunteered at the Visitors Center for a few years when we first moved to Washington, '92-'94. It was wonderful.....talked with thousands and thousands of tourists from ALL over the world!

Loved the time line.
Jul 2014 • Couples
While $5 might have been a little steep for the size of the center, it was well done. The movie was interesting, the time line was great, and the trail outside provided a pleasant place to walk.

Stopped here while using the nearby electric vehicle quick charge station and was delighted with the various exhibits which included logging gear, volcano topics, and pioneer topics. Helpful volunteer!
