We went there knowing the house was closed for renovations, bit at least we were able to walk the grounds. Nice walking area with some old tombstones.

What would it be like to jerk the phone out of the wall, lock all electronics away and light candles for a relaxing read through Charles Dickens. A great view into life in Virginia in the past.

A place visited by locals on field and day trips. A nice piece of local history and well taken care of as well. Lovely for a fall trip.

Very nice place to visit if one is looking for small, historic homes. Similar in shape to the nearby Thoroughgood house but at this site both floors are included on the tour. Beautiful interior! No gardens however.

This is one of the three historic homes you can buy a ticket for all and tour. Very reasonable and worth doing all three. Tour guides are very good, they give an excellent tour and are able to answer questions. Great mini lesson in history...More

I do not think they sell them in advance (by phone call or online). However, when you go to the first site they will offer you the three tour package and can pay for it right there. Just make certain by the hours listed... More
