The plantation house is in a development surrounded by modern houses. It's very easy to miss. We went for the event "Stroll of Lost Souls" and it was very disappointing. Not scary at all and the house is way too cluttered. Visit one of the...More

I love history…so this house and tour were really good. Although the house sits off the main thoroughfare of Independence Blvd, it is really easy to find. The tour guide (Cody) was very knowledgeable and informative. It was great that his sprinkled a little bit...More

We thought we would spend only a few minutes and ended up staying for several hours. The tour guide was a very knowledgeable and personable recent Navy Veteran. He had an excellent command of facts about the early history of what had been the courthouse...More

We truly enjoyed our tour of the Ferry Plantation House and learning its history as well as learning about the woman who saved it, Belinda Nash. Our tour guide, Cody, was knowledgeable of the home’s history and its surroundings. He was also able to add...More

We decided this for a halloween option. It was basically a open house with a lot of paranormal stuff set up. We'd have preferred a bit more history. It was interesting though, and the staff quite nice. We'd like to revisit as some point for...More

Although it's gone through a lot of changes in its lifetime, it's an interesting glimpse into life well before the Civil War. Even rumored to be haunted. Pay the fee for the tour and help support the non-profit org that's renovating the place.
