Thankfully, military families get in free at Stratford Hall, because otherwise we wouldn’t have been very happy. The staff is cranky and pretty unwelcoming. Our tour guide (Jamie) was really, really long winded...and slightly rude at times. After a while I just tuned her out...More

Stratford Hall hosts a bunch of events at different times of the year. There's a big yard area, as well as a building with historical museum exhibits of Virginia and Civil War history.

Love taking family to visit Stratford Hall, the Lee Family home. Tours are excellent. Artifacts are wonderful. Definitely worth a visit.
