The town hall and assembly rooms are a real feature of the town centre. Beautiful building which is now surrounded by festive decorations. Surrounded in local history this is a lovely attraction and adds to the town landscape. Worth checking out.

We got Married here in July, the rooms have been re done and look lovely, we had a fantastic day and everything was perfect all thanks to the staff here who are fantastic.

The Pontefract Town Hall houses the original plaster cast of the sculpture of Nelson's fall that decorates Nelson's Column in London. It is worth seeing!

A great place in pontefract i saw the queen mother there as a young boy and i appeares in pantomim there a great event evert january impressive building with always something going on

it has one of the original plaster cast used for the making of the monument in London. It has also been used as fire station and is one the most historical building and best looking in pontefract

Great event to put on a show. Beautiful recently renovated building with fabulous grand staircase. It also has a disabled lift.
