Small car park which is busy at times. Nice walk past Frickley Hall and then back and up the hills. Great views. The path can be muddy so wellies are the best footwear in Autumn and winter. Popular with walkers and dog walkers. Good trees...More

I remember 15 years ago this being a derelict pit site, but now the hard work of a few has turned it into a lovely country park. The park is sadly underused by the locals, though there are Heath Walks and a Nordic Walking group...More

Ideal place for a pleasant walk or let the kids safely ride their bikes. Feels like you are in the countryside. Different circular routes around the park, either easy flat routes or some hills to challenge yourself.

Good paths for cycling, dog walking and enjoying nature. Plenty of good paths. Needs a few bins other wise a good upcoming park. Even has some historical things to show the kids.

Fabulous walk round the park although a bit wary when leaving my car. Nice walkways and paths and good for dog walking. Not so many dog waste bins though.

Good for a family walk with children or pets. The footpaths on the whole are in good condition . There are various ways you can walk round the park many of which entails going up some kind of hill, the steepness varies.

Went here to take our dogs for a walk as we were visiting close by great place to let them run free. Only down side is they could do with some dog bin as rather a lot of dog mess about and shows no consideration...More

My wife and I visit on a regular basis to walk around the perimeter, we find it very enjoyable. On one walk we spotted a short eared owl which was great as I had never seen one before.
