A great place for a very good pint of Ale, a drop of good whisky (there is more available) and there is a friendly, homely atmosphere. I return again and again as this is a nice place to have a good conversation and unwind. I...More

The welcome here is relaxed and friendly. They serve an ever changing selection of fine brews from breweries across the uk plus bottled beers and (if you ask nicely) a menu of world class whiskey. It’s bench seating around the walls with wooden tables in...More

It was the first time I had drunk in the Compass but a great pub that gave the feeling of being a small scale beer festival that I imagine continues throughout the year. Keep it up guys!!

The number of micropubs is growing, and whilst they are all better than your average boozer, few are as great as the Compass. It stands out because of its atmosphere and because its constantly changing ale and cider selection will keep your taste buds tantalised....More
