The atmosphere here was amazing. So much history. The fantastic lady volunteer (didn't catch her name) was all too helpful. It is free entry!! (Donations can and should be left) there is an audio tour which I would recommend.

I was really impressed with the local history displayed within The Chantry. It showed Gravesend as it was and the photographs told many stories of Gravesend past. A great place for history buffs.

The Chantry is so under visited be locals and travelling sightseers. The building is worth seeing without the numerous articles of history, both local and nearby. It looks larger inside that it gives the impression on looking from the outside. Very well worth a visit.

This Chantry has a wonderful collection of new and old photographs that you can see to compare Gravesend past and present. There are many artefacts in the Chantry associated with the River Thames. In all a very interesting building too with a lot of history.

Ancient fort in beautiful surroundings. You can have guided tours of the tunnels which are reliably reported to be haunted. It has attractive walks in the grounds and even has a bandstand where concerts are sometimes held. Very nearby is the General Gordon memorial gardens.
