Having read some of these comments I wish to say that the coffee at £2.a cafetière is not expensive and cakes and scones are far cheaper than anywhere in Newport! The church is open where there are volunteers available, sometimes it is just not possible...More

Its free, easy to find and serves delicious coffee and cake. This is a lovely big church with royal history and the sort of calm welcome that ensures you can enjoy the peace of a sanctuary from the hectic noise of the modern world.

A lovely place to visit in the centre of Newport. Nice atmosphere and plenty to see in this historic church, I think I shall have to return and spend time looking around in detail. They also serve very good coffee and cake.
