7 reviews
In this mini-excursion, you’ll see a lot in a short space of time. Enjoy a boat trip towards Lobos Island where you’ll have the choice to snorkel. Don’t worry about packing heavy kit—snorkeling equipment is available on the boat. This tour caters for non-snorkelers too; you can choose to feed fish, swim, hike, mountain bike, or admire the views.

Thursday 19th November and we visited this rather rather different shopping centre. It has been built in a style to resemble a small village with a number of connecting streets with shops, cafes and restaurants along both sides. Buildings look like houses with their balconies. There is a small fountain, a central point, with tables and chairs where people could sit and have a coffee, something to eat from one of the nearby restaurants. An ideal spot to enjoy the live music by the band on stage near the fountain. Within the centre there is what appears to be a Church bell tower, complete with bells. It is not a church, it is a viewing tower (mirador), due to Covid health measures the tower was not open. On Thursdays and Sundays, from 9.00 till 14.00, there is a street market, with stalls along the centre of the streets. On these days the stalls are laden with artisan products and crafts of the Island. On Sundays from 09.00 to 14.00 there is a vegetable market. We stopped at a cafe, for a coffee, sitting out at a street table, enjoying the live music provided by the band. It was entertaining to watch people jigging by in time to the music. Shopping or browsing this is definitely worth a visit.

Unless there is a market on, this place is now very quiet. A lot more empty locals than a year ago including one of our favourite restaurants, Boardriders Out the front is a statue called Mamandyou, which is very colourful. Hopefully new businesses will start to open up soon.

We've visited this center while walking down from our hotel into Beach direction and discovering the neighbourhood. It occured to be a great place for local products when there is a local market happening. Also the tower in the middle is actually the sightseeing point. You can enter for free, go up for 4 floors with a lift, and 3 more you need to go by stairs. Amazing view, different, from every side. It shows the unique beauty of this island - desert of Corralejo dunas, green garden of palm trees, lots of colorful rooftops and the seaside. Recommended!
