Many thanks, Seve23, for your question regarding the issue of buggies on the fairways.
As a rule, Santana Golf restricts the usage of golf buggies onto the fairways as much as possible, as it causes a considerable amount of damage to the grass. For this reason, the policy of the club is “Buggies on the Paths Only”.
However, we are aware that there are occasions when disabled golfers cannot play without the assistance of a buggy and need to drive to the ball. As an exception for these special cases, and on presentation of a Doctor’s Certificate, we can allow the concession of a Blue Flag that gives access to the fairways under the “90-Degree Rule”.
We must stress that this rule is subject to the playing condition of the course and, a report is presented by the Greenkeepers every morning regarding any restriction on the day due to adverse weather conditions or daily maintenance works.
Many thanks for your interest in Santana Golf and we look forward seeing you soon.
