This is the traditional water source for the village. Historically where village water was collected from and clothes washed. It can be difficult to park on the neighbouring hilly roads and access is via narrow road.

Part of local history, the Fuente is a great place to spend a few moments in the cool of the fountain. Great for collecting fresh water rather than relying on plastic bottled water.

If you visit the pueblo you must also see the fountain - fresh water derived from the mountains behind gushes from numerous fonts - local people travel here to fill their containers!

The local people go to the plaza to collect the spring water which is said to have amazing qualities as well as being extremely pure. There is a wonderful atmosphere associated with the Plaza, giving peace and tranquility.

It's a drive from the centre to the old town. Our friends drove so I am not sure of directions. Plus parking is at a premium. You could try Mojacar buses website. Sorry I was not allowed to include the link here. Thanks... More
