Kopke was without doubt the best tasting we did in Porto. Yes, prices of the better Kopke port wines are on the high end and the tasting itself is not cheap but it was worth every Euro. The young lady that served us during the...More

The wine and snacks were really good. The service was however not very good. The sommelier talked very quickly and quietly so it was very hard to hear what she was saying. When we got our wine and snacks, the waitor just left us and...More

We strolled in with no appointment & were able to do a tasting on a busy Sunday. They were quite flexible, letting us assemble our preferred tastings a la carte. We are not port experts, but these were some of the best pours we had...More

This is a good pace to taste excellent port. They do not have a tour, but the tasting room is nice. The tasting is on the second and third floors looking out at the river. You order from a long list of ports and wines....More

We visited Casa Kopke to try the port and chocolate pairing. We tried a port at €4.50 which came with two chocolates, one milk chocolate and a dark chocolate truffle. The port and chocolates were OK but more of a novelty than an experience.

Lovely selection of Port wines with great chocolate too. Good service and well presented. I'd suggest an LBV with some dark chocolate as my personal preference

Hello from Peter and Valmai Kopke in Western Australia! We are thinking of visiting Portugal in the next year or two and we would, of course, like to visit the Casa Kopke vineyard. Would you please let us know exactly where you are and also make suggestions as to where / places / towns / areas we should stay during our visit? We have been thinking of doing a river cruise and have received a brochure but we want to make sure that we can visit Casa Kopke! Our grandson has just made a most beautifully crafted timber box at school for ornamental presentation of his father's bottle of Kopke port! My husband's grandfather was Frederick Herman Kopke who came out to South Australia from Hamburg in the late 1800's. He later travelled to Western Australia to drill for water and ended up buying a pastoral property (nearly 300,000 acres) 700 miles north of Perth on the coast south of Carnarvon. His son, Alan Frederick Herman Kopke bought the adjoining statio and his grandson, Peter Alan Frederick Kopke, remained there all his working life. We look forward to hearing from you.
