To get to the beach you can either walk down the winding road, dive and "try" and park or simply head down on the cable car. A nice pebble stone beach with clean water.

Definitely worth a visit for the large statue of Christ on top of the cliffs and the view down the coast. There's a little cafe and cable car that will take you down to the beach.

Madeira is a great island to explore and this is a lovely area for walking and viewing. It is great to see the Christus Rex statue and there is a good cafe nearby

The resort has a supermarket and a restaurant and there is a local reliable bus service. The resort itself isvery quiet with a shingle beach.

The stony beach at the foot of the cliff is a real treasure - clear blue seas and safe bathing under the watchful gaze of lifeguards. Take flip flops to cope with the stones and hire a 'pallet' to lie on - very reasonable at...More
