lovely streets and typically Italian monuments; very calm places to visit, take your time and simplyu enjoy this "non so touristic" little town

We were surprised that this was mentioned as a local attraction, but when we found it turned out that it is a private area and we cannot even see the whole castle even from outside. It was disappointing.

The castle is a private residence, you can't visit it, and you can't see much from the outside. A nice walk, but not really a destination.

First, about Lavanto: a nice little town 6 minutes by train from Monterosso (Cinque Terre) by train. If all of the tourists are making you crazy in Cinque Terre, this is a nice place to visit. Make sure you stop by the tourist information center...More
