I walked up here first for a guitar concert near the Catholic Cathedral and experienced the great views over the harbour at night. Later during the day I explored the little archaeological museum and enjoyed the shops going up and down.

We went for a stroll in the evening before dinner and this was a really beautiful place with narrow pathways and plenty of history. Few beautiful places to discover on the way. There was a theatre hidden in the alley ways which looks interesting but...More

Simply beautiful, well preserved without being ruined by modern times (too much). The contrast with the the Ancient Greek ruins is also very interesting.

Not too commercial part of the Chora, full of narrow pathways and staircases, with a couple of points of interest. The cultural center offers excellent musical performances in the summer.

It's nice to see the old walls and small paths, go around and around and discover new places, panoramas or shops here.

Visit the Archaeological museum and pick early morning hours. If you do not visit the museum then late afternoon is ideal.

The Kastro might seem daunting to climb up to, but you are rewarded with a gem of a place. The Catholic Church is a contrast to the rich cathedral below and worth a look. The museum has an amazing collection of artefacts from around Naxos,...More

Nice walk up the hill, with good views available in selective spots. Impressive construction for the day when you consider it.

a visit there is like a visit to the past- not far from the old town- in fact you can come across it without realising it-

Nice walk going up! Old section of the town. Beautiful view on top. I expected cafes or restaurant upthere but there is only one cafe and it doesn't open until 10 AM.

There are many boats to visit Naxos Island. Of course from Santorini port you can arrive into 3 hours with blue star ferries.
