This very beautiful old house built in 1368 survived the big fires in the 19 century and stayed untouched till these days . Today hosts a very good restaurant .

We loved this restaurant. From its old world charm to the friendly and gracious waitress to the amazing food, everything was perfect. I loved that they had a smaller schnitzel size that wasn’t restricted to children. Husband got flammkuchen, which had looked like a pizza...More

Everything was great about this place. Cozy - classic German food. Pork Schnitzel was thin - nicely breaded - delicious. We had a side dish of potatoes- they looked like tater tots - crispy on the outside but mashed potato- creamy on the inside- delicious!...More

We only saw this building from the street as we were exploring Bacharach. It has a very picturesque, medieval exterior like so many of the other buildings in this lovely town. Visiting and exploring Bacharach was one of our favourite towns during our 3 week...More

Great meal and fabulous atmosphere in a historic building -- well worth the price. Oh, and very good service from our Polish waitress!

Great food, great prices, great service. Arrived in town late they were very willing to serve whatever we wanted and the food was great. Went back a second time, and enjoyed it even more. Very nice owner, great location in center of town.

We didn't have the time to have a drink or dessert here, but I wish we had gone inside. The exterior views are amazing and reflective of the German charm that I love. I will have to stop here again on my next visit.

It has atmosphere, it has olde world style in its buildings. The castle broods nicely above the little town, as does the ruined chapel. The Rhine flows by inexorably. The only fault is / was that on the day of our visit, Bacharach was closed....More
