Wonderful view to compensate the climb! Time to test a glass of Sancerre white afterwards as a reward!

Amazing, unbelievable sights of Sancerre, surrounding villages and all the vineyards. Be warned - It's a puff to get up there! Lots and lots of small rickety stairs to get to the top, worth it? YES!

Fabulous 360 degree views from this historic tower. Climb 190 wooden circular stairs inside this 14thC tower. The fee is a donation, so a coin will do. It's only open at 2pm on Saturday, Sunday so check opening times on sign outside.

It is well worth climbing this tower, not that many steps. There is no charge, but you can leave a donation at the end of your visit

This is an extremely old edifice dating back many centuries. It's a bit of a climb (190 steps), but worth the effort when you reach the top. You can literally see for about 25 miles in all directions.

Maybe not the smartest thing to do, right after lunch in the midday heat, climbing all those steep steps to the top of the tower, but the view made it all worth it.

Limited opening hours but if you strike lucky steep stairs lead to a fantastic viewing platform. Well worth the effort and small charge.

Place only opens at 2pm. All it is is 135 steps to the top of a tower, giving you a good sentry's view of the local area all around.

This tower has many steps to the top but is well worth a visit to see the view from the top. We would certainly recommend a visit here.

An amazing view of the town and surrounding countryside - vineyards and the Loire. Beware, there are 195 steps to the top.
