Had a great time rock climbing and exploring the area. Could have spent a lot longer wandering around. It was pretty busy, but it was Fall break weekend so that was to be expected.

Bring your hiking boots and a pole to have a great time climbing on the red sandstone for amazing views of St. George. The park has a small picnic area and ample parking. Follow the loop road around to easy access to many different sandstone...More

We got some great pictures here. There is a look out way up on top that you can see the whole city. Very awesome in the morning.

We climbed all over the rocks, it's very fun, it's easy to get right to the top of the red rock cliffs here. Not technical at all, g l'm you can just scramble up.

Pioneer Park is right next to Deseret Gardens so the two places make for a wonderful time. Lots of hiking areas and just downright beautiful.

You can hike (long or short trails), climb cook and get some of the best overviews of Utah's Dixie! and only about 5 minutes' drive from downtown! But be careful in the summer - tempetures are regularly over 100 degrees in the afternoons.

I did not spend much time here but enjoyed the views and noted many trails. I was on my way to the Desert Garden before the sun got too hot, otherwise I would have walked more of the trails. Plenty of parking.

Another free activity in sunny Dixie! During the Spring and autumn this is a favorite place to hike and picnic. Couples and families enjoy climbing and hiking and don’t miss a squeeze through the narrows. A fantastic view of the city of St. George.

We walked around the garden and fish pools and then discovered trails around the hills and rocks. The area is beautiful and gives a nice vista over the city and temple. Very enjoyable!

I agree with the others, although you can work up a sweat clambering over the various rock formations, it’s not really hiking.
