Lots of walking, but very interesting. A little confusing about where some things were. Small vendors were not open when we were there.

We visit zoos in every city we visit, and the Houston zoo is by far our favorite. All the animals were out. There were so many shows and experiences to see. The highlight was getting to see the Elephants get their bath.

If I let my family choose we’d go to the zoo ever weekend! My only complaint is parking, never enough, so be prepared to circle the lots several times. The zoo itself is large and offers a grand variety of exhibits and animals to see!...More

One of the nicest, cleanest zoo's I have ever been to. Over 6000 animals, 900 plus species. We really enjoyed our day and trip there.

After a 1 hour drive in from the suburbs we easily located the Zoo and its vast free car park. There were already several groups of schoolchildren so we were prepared for a noisy visit...this did not happen as the Zoo is big enough to...More

I’ve been to some great zoos (San Diego, London and London). Houston’s Zoo is not quite in the same league, but it is a pretty good zoo. The principal draw back of the Houston zoo is that it is in Houston, and if you’ve ever...More

Prepare for a lot of walking and a full day. Parking is always a problem as it it always busy. It would be wise to walk with something to drink or a snack. All in all a great experience.

I live in the DFW area and went to the Houston Zoo with family that lives in Houston. I don’t know what FOTAZ is. I wish I could help but I don’t want to tell you something that may not be correct. Sorry!

I believe there is a deep discount, but not for free. I recommend calling the zoo directly at (713) 533-6500.
