One-Hour John F Kennedy Assassination Tour

76 reviews
We take you through the events of the day from a perspective not found on other tours. Why was JFK even in Dallas that day and why was that route for the motorcade chosen? We lay out the incredible coincidences and timing that culminated in a national tragedy that is as poignant today as it was in 1963.

We also tell the story of Jackie Kennedy's tremendous loss and her overwhelming grief. A story often overlooked. You've heard how she was stoic and poised in public, which she was, but we take you deeper into the private, human side of the story. You'll stand in disbelief as you hear these untold stories and wonder if you could have withstood the same public pressure if you were in her shoes. Not just the Assassination, but other, equally devastating life experiences.

We end the tour at the Sixth Floor Museum. There you can continue with a self guided tour equipped with headsets. We will help you buy tickets, give an overview of the Museum and help you with a speedy entrance.

Could spend hours here browsing the aisles.....reside in a small town with limited selections so this is like a smorgasbord of produce, wines, cheeses, and breads. Have eaten lunch there previously, and it was very good as well. Also found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered a hot brisket bowl with faro and all the fixings. Food was delicious and what we could see of the kitchen, it was well-run. The actual seating area is filthy with multiple flies landing all about, despite an attendant who patrols the area and wipes down the tables. Problem is, only the tabletop gets any attention; leaving the edges untouched and sticky. The chairs appear to have never been wiped down, exhibiting layers of filth that should be unacceptable anywhere, let alone in an atmosphere where food is eaten.

I've been shopping at this Central Market for over a decade, and it still remains one of my favorite grocery store locations. Central Market was HEB's answer to Whole Foods, and, boy, does it deliver. It's a grocery store for foodies, for sure. Great produce (really, really great produce), huge meat counter, large counter for fresh seafood, great prepared foods, local products, bakery, tortilleria, great wines, etc. It's got everything. The store is tight, but it's well laid out, and once you're familiar with the layout, you'll know the shortcuts for when you don't need to walk through the entire store. On this past trip to Dallas for Christmas, I was at this store twice. We got great Maryland style crab cakes, fantastic bulk breakfast sausage from the meat counter for a breakfast casserole (as well as all of the other ingredients for the casserole), tamales for Christmas Eve brunch, sides for Christmas Eve dinner (asparagus and ginger rice), some beautiful MacIntosh apples for a cheese plate, and some sweets from the bakery. The store was a madhouse because so many people were doing their last minute shopping for the holiday, but Central Market's crazy busy is still manageable. All of their cashier lines were open and we were in and out quickly. It's just a wonderful store for anyone that loves food.
