If you are building a two lane road to be traveled at a maximum speed of 50 mph by cars which, at that time, couldn’t go much faster, its amazing how you can preserve the land. We had the privilege of a long day’s journey...More

We travelled the fabled Fabled Trace. No pirates, no murderers, merely a highway with lots of trees and stores at interchanges. Big deal.

Start to finish, the parkway is a beautiful drive. History, cypress swamps, Indian mounds, and more. The fall was perfect for the drive as early November was full color.

Very scenic drive and then head into the Natchez Trace Park and hit some of the hiking trails. Everyone was super friendly. Lots of people camping.

We took the Natchez Trace south of Nashville (least that’s what the sign said) and it was beautiful with fall colors. We were not just going for a ride, we used it to travel between destinations and it was slower going than I thought we...More

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a great road trip anytime. There are various places to stop along the parkway as well as side trips to local areas such as Leiper's Fork. The very high bridge is known its photographic opportunities. However, the bridge is not...More

We took the Natchez Trace Parkway on our return to Nashville from Franklin, TN. What a beautiful drive. We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle for that short time.

Classic tree lined roaming road. Limited on/off ramps, so make sure you take your potty breaks before you start. It's a great drive to relax. Wonderful bike ride - if only they added bike lanes, then it would be perfect!

Love riding the Trace on the motorcycle whenever we can. It is certainly worth the trip even if you just go a few miles down and then back. Gorgeous scenery to see at many stops along the way. We have ridden on the trace several...More

We only had 1/2 a day. We took the drive from Double Arches Bridge on the north end to the Merriweather Lewis burial site at the south end and back. (The whole trail is 440 miles.) It was very doable, there was no traffic... More

Memphis is NW of the Trace. If you go straight East from Memphis you can pick it up and head North. Depending on your time, you could also angle South East towards Tupelo and pick it up there. You would be doing about 1/2... More
