What can I say, anyone born in the 80s will remember this programme, what more can you ask for in life than to get to go and see it for real. Please consider your parking, it's limited and you can get caught out quite easily....More

Aireys Inlet Volcano – Split Point and Lighthouse This is a gorgeous little trail leading up to Split Lighthouse. You can see the sea but also the inland freshwater lagoon, which attracts hundreds of migrating birds. The views are stunning and well worth the short...More

hi Annette, thanks for your geological comments about the area. You are absolutely right that the lighthouse sits on a fantastic structure built up over millions of years. The deposition of clays, sands and limestone form wonderful layers which periodically reveal treasure troves of fossils....More

Wasn’t on our itinerary so it was a gem! Great views and scenery. A little bummed the lighthouse wasn’t open to public (except for tours if I’m not wrong) but it was all good! Recommend to schedule this info your itinerary!

We took a slight detour to this lighthouse on our way to view the twelve apostles and it was a worthwhile stop for some photo opportunities. Not very crowded, so easy to find parking nearby and then walked to view the lighthouse. We did not...More

It was raining that morning but my friend and I were lucky enough to chance upon a rainbow. The lighthouse is about 200m from the parking space and offers spectacular view at the entrance of Great Ocean Road.
